Benoîte Rousseau-De Sevelinges, Director of Princess Grace Hospital, told HSH Prince Albert and invited guests earlier this week that the hospital is in good health after a successful 2023.
Ahead of the completion of the new hospital in 2026, this year will be a year of transition, she said, while citing a survey among patients that showed that 92 percent of patients would recommend the hospital to their loved ones.
The numbers show that nine percent more operations were performed in 2023 compared to the previous year. The total number of hospitalisation days grew by seven percent to a total of 145,000.
In his own address, the Sovereign underlined the importance of cross-border cooperation: “I encourage my government to continue the discussions initiated with the highest French authorities to strengthen health cooperation between our two countries. The CHPG must integrate into the healthcare offering in the eastern Alpes-Maritimes by offering medical specialties with a very high level of service. Only the well-being of the patient in our care must guide our actions.”
The hospital is anticipating the arrival of new talent, as four departmental heads left CHPG in 2023 and seven more are expected to leave in the next two years.
