On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the International German Club invites all German and German-speaking residents of the Principality to the Open Day that it is organising on Saturday, November 25 at the Espace Léo Ferré in Fontvielle, between 14:30 and 18:30.

“We know that there are more than 900 German residents in Monaco, and also many German-speaking Austrians and Swiss. We would like to get to know them and invite them to discover our Club, hence the idea of this “Open Day”, explained Beatrix von Dellingshausen, Co-President of the Club.

“In addition, there are some 200 students learning German in different schools in the Principality,” adds Patrick Wetzel, Co-President. “They are all also invited to come with their parents and we have a little gift for them. One of our mission is to support the German language and culture, and it is important to motivate younger generations to learn German, a very important language in Europe.”

Drinks and snacks will be offered, and musical entertainment will enliven the afternoon, with singer Philipp Kanjo, a finalist in the very famous DSDS Deutschland sucht den Superstar competition. And it will of course be an opportunity to learn more about the Club’s activities and to create an additional link between German-speaking people in the Principality.
