For the 15th European Waste Reduction Week, the Prince’s Government’s Environment Department has organised a collection point for glasses and sunglasses so that they may be given a new life by those in need.
The proposed theme for this year’s edition is packaging and is intended to raise awareness of the three rs: reduce, reuse and recycle. It is with this sustainable philosophy in mind that the glass collection station will take its place at the entrance of the Fontvieille shopping centre from Monday, November 13 to Sunday, November 26.
Once collected, the old glasses and sunglasses will be handed over to the Monegasque association Semeurs d’Espoir who will then distribute them.
