Four members of the Chances for Children team are going on tour with the stage show the Lion King with Disney In the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Monaco Association that runs the charity in east Africa announced.
Russell Crump, the Association’s Vice President, said: “I am immensely proud to of our team in Uganda who have fought against all the odds to win the places. Chances for Children is exactly what it says. To think ten years ago these children were running scared, starving and destitute in the streets of Kampala to dancing barefoot in front of thousands is a true story of belief and courage. I would like this great achievement to inspire all burgeoning performers to never give in regardless of creed colour or background.”
