Monaco, represented by HE Mr Gabriel Revel, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Monaco to the Council of Europe, took part in an Informal conference of Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe held in Latvia in Riga on September 11.
A total of 42 member states of the Council of Europe as well as the United States, Japan and the Holy See took part.
The Conference expressed its support for Ukraine and addressed the question of accountability by the Russian Federation through the possible establishment of a compensation mechanism and an international tribunal aimed at prosecuting the perpetrators of the crime of aggression committed against Ukrainian territory.
The third part of this Conference focused on the question of family reunification and the return of children from Ukraine transferred to Belarus and the Russian Federation.
