The Club Suisse de Monaco hosted a talk and a dinner with HE Mrs Carole Lanteri – Monaco’s Ambassador to Switzerland and the Principality’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva – and Mr Frédéric Genta – Interministerial Delegate for Attractiveness and Digital Transition – on the topic of the attractiveness of the Principality at a well-attended event at the Automobile Club de Monaco.
Mr Arik Röschke, President of Club Suisse de Monaco, welcomed the participants and guests. Since 1999, HE Mrs Lanteri has had a distinguished diplomatic career, notably in France and Switzerland.
Mr Frédéric Genta, the son of the Swiss watchmaker and artist Gérald Genta, whose most recognisable designs were that of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe’s Nautilus, was educated at the University of Paris ESCP Business School and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. His career has spanned tech giants such as Orange, Amazon and Google and in 2018 Frédéric Genta was appointed to make Monaco the most digital state in the world. He is currently in charge of projects like Smart City, the e-government programme, digital security and the digital economy.
The highly interesting and interactive discussion, where participants took the opportunity to ask questions, was followed by a Cocktail in the garden of the Automobile Club de Monaco Restaurant, and a dinner, during which the exchange was further deepened.
Among the guests were also the Honorary Consul of Monaco in Zurich, Ms Hélène Faggionato Knight, the Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Monaco, Mr Zuellig and the former President of the German International Club and former Director of the Hotel de
Paris, Karl Vanis.
The Club Suisse de Monaco was founded in 1949 and is one of the oldest Associations in the Principality. Its aim is to maintain social and cultural relations between Swiss and Monegasque people, as well as other nationals living in or visiting Monaco. By organising
