After a major reconstruction and redesign, Monaco’s heliport has updated facilities and a fresh look in time for the Monaco Grand Prix.
GP week sees a doubling of passenger numbers, to 5,000 and 800 take-offs and landings.
The renovation was overdue, with no upgrade since the heliport’s opening in 1976, almost 50 years ago.
The renewed facility is not only visually more pleasing and more comfortable for passengers, but much more environmentally-friendly. By putting a second skin on the building, energy efficiency has been improved by 90 percent.
