The 16 year-old driver of the Citroën Ami that overturned in spectacular fashion on the famous Fairmont corner of the F1 track last month has been charged with three driving offences.
The French resident has been banned from the Principality following his temporary incarceration and will appear in court at a later date. The light vehicle can be driven in France without a licence by anyone over the age of 14.
The 22 year-old passenger, who was more seriously hurt when the car flipped on its side, did not wish to file a complaint.
The incident went viral on social media.
