As the Princess Charlene Foundation celebrates its first ten years, the Princess granted an interview to local French-language daily Monaco Matin, in which she says she feels less pain and more energy.
“I would first like to say that I feel so much better today than I have in recent years,” Charlene told local newspaper Monaco Matin. “I feel less pain and much more energy.”
“I continue to recover, to rebalance myself,” she said. “It will still take time, but I’m happy. My family and those I love are my rock. I approach the future, step by step, one day at a time.”
With pet chihuahuas Tia and Harley at her side, the Princess said that the twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who last Saturday celebrated their eighth birthday, are learning their roles.
“With my husband, when we have to go to an event, we explain to them what the nature of this event, this ceremony is… They like accompanying us, and with the Prince, the four of us enjoy doing these together.” She added that they have more to learn before it will become natural for them.”
