Monaco to tackle traffic jams with free buses

In a two-month test period that is likely to become permanent, Monaco’s buses will be free of charge from next Monday, October 3.

A publicity campaign, in French only, will target three distinct groups, youngsters, the economically active, and seniors.

Céline Caron-Diagoni, Minister of Infrastructure, Environment and Urban Development, announcing the experimental period, said that the aim is to reduce traffic density, including 20 percent of internal displacements.
