Tests on 3,300 school students and staff over March 21 and 22 resulted in 47 positive coronavirus cases being identified. Fifty-five percent of the school population took the tests, the Government said on Wednesday.

On Tuesday 97 Monaco residents were identified as having tested positive during the day.

On Wednesday, a further 97 residents also tested positive. Forty-six residents were declare fully-recovered.

The number of patients being treated for coronavirus symptoms at Princess Grace Hospital has also risen slightly, to 15, including six residents. One non-resident is in intensive care.

Meanwhile, 272 residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home.
