Monaco recorded 38 new coronavirus cases on Monday, February 7, while 88 residents were declared fully-recovered.

The number of residents with mild symptoms recovering at home has fallen again, to 193.

Patients with coronavirus symptoms being treated at Princess Grace Hospital now number 72, including 60 residents. Two non-residents are in intensive care.

This is the second day in a row when new cases have been in a low range. On Sunday, only nine positive tests were reported.

The best news of all was that the benchmark incidence rate, measured on a seven-day rolling basis to Sunday, February 6, fell to 1,205 per 100,000 population from 1,890 one week earlier. This figure is based on a total of 7,042 PCR and antigen tests.

However, the figures from France were far from reassuring. A total of 46,001 new cases and 417 new deaths were reported on Monday, February 7.
