Italian premier league giants Juventus have joined elite English sides Liverpool and Chelsea in eying up one AS Monaco rising star in particular. Aurélian Tchouameni continues to impress as a dominant midfielder in Monaco, and his achievements have not gone unnoticed.

Now 21 year-old Tchouameni joined Monaco from their Ligue 1 rivals Bordeaux in 2020 and has only improved since then, becoming a regular in Niko Kovac’s starting 11. The midfielder marked his 60th appearance with the Principality side, with a goal against Bordeaux on Sunday, October 3.

These impressive exploits in Ligue 1 attracted the attention of French national team boss Didier Deschamps, who has called Tchouameni up to play in the senior squad of ‘Les Bleus’ a total of four times to date. The latest occasion being in France’s EUFA Nations League semi-final match against Belgium, in which the French came out on top 3-2.

Italian football news website CalcioMercato claim that Tchouameni is the first choice for Juventus, and that the Italian giants are “working to anticipate the competition” of Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for his signature.

The report goes on to say that Juve is planning to make their move for Monaco’s magic midfielder in the first half of 2022. However, that move could be accelerated by the expected departure of former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Owing to his age as well as his physical and mental attributes, Monaco have slapped a 40 million euro price tag on Tchouameni, but this should not be too much for the elite clubs of Europe.
