Isabelle Bonnal, Commissioner General of National Education, Youth and Sports, said on Tuesday morning that whether a child has a health pass or not will not determine the course of action when coronavirus tests are positive.
“If a child tests positive in Kindergarten, the whole class will be sent home,” she said.
In elementary classes, if at least three cases are detected, an investigation will be carried out and the doctor will decide the procedure to follow. Whatever the case, it will be: all at home or all at school.”
On Monday, Pierre Dartout, Minister of State, said that children are approaching the start of the school year with confidence. He added that the government does not plan to extend compulsory vaccination in schools. He contrasted that with the rules that apply to health professionals who are in contact with the most fragile.
A weekend protest march against the Health Pass attracted almost 800 demonstrators.
