The first of three planned demonstrations against the Health Pass in Monaco has been authorised by the authorities.
“The government is committed to the freedom of expression of opinions. This is guaranteed by the Constitution. We ask that the organisers be able to ensure the security arrangements, both in terms of public order and health. As, for example, the wearing of masks, which is compulsory throughout the Principality,” a Government source said.
The organisers of the march have already said that the protest will be orderly, with certain rules in place and a medical team in attendance.
Enhanced police checkpoints on main routes into the Principality are likely, in order to ensure that the march, which sets out from Place des Moulins at 14:00 on Saturday, September 4, will be largely a home-grown affair.
