The 2021 International Day of Forests will be celebrated on Sunday, March 21. This year, the theme is: “Forest restoration: a path to recovery and well-being.” The restoration of our forests is essential, as it will help to address the climate-change and biodiversity crises.

On this occasion, the Principality’s Urban Planning Department is joining forces with France’s l’Office National des Forêts to organise activities in French and Monegasque territories.

As part of the event on March 21, guided tours of the loop trail from Mont-Gros to Roquebrune-Cap-Martin will be carried out by the organisers of the ONF.

The tours are free for all, and will allow visitors to discover new developments of this natural site, which have been carried out the within the framework of the agreement between the Principality and the ONF.

More locally to Monaco, a workshop will be held in the entrance to the Jardins Saint-Martins in Monaco-Ville on Sunday, March 21. The public will be welcomed to participate in activities relating to forests and tree heritage.
