“The news has landed. In 2020 Monaco’s average price per square metre fell slightly but remained at a resilient level of €47,619. This is a slight decrease on 2019 figures (-1.1%). The number of sales did fall (-22.3%) to a similar level seen in 2017. The resilience of the price per square metre, shows that despite a very difficult year globally, real estate in Monaco is still holding its value.
The year at Savills Monaco was a busy one in 2020 – we saw a lot of clients wanting to move into larger apartments as space during confinement led to people wanting larger spaces with outdoor areas and facilities within the building.
