The Monaco Government issued an appeal late on Thursday for Monegasques and residents to behave with caution and responsibility during the two-week winter school holidays that started on Friday, February 19.

Because the risk of spreading coronavirus infections is increased when people mix more, “the Prince’s Government therefore calls on each and everyone to be vigilant and responsible.”

Social gatherings should be limited as much as possible and it is absolutely necessary to respect social distancing, to wash hands more often, ventilate rooms and not share cutlery or glasses, the Government said.

Our behaviour during the holidays will determine whether it may be possible to relax certain restrictions currently in place, the statement added.

“A few days after returning from vacation, an analysis of the health situation and its evolution will be carried out,” the Government said.
