Twenty-nine new positive cases of coronavirus were reported on Friday, February 5, together with 18 full recoveries.

A 77 year-old resident, who had tested positive for coronavirus, became the 19th victim of the pandemic, according to Government criteria.

Forty-two residents are being treated as in-patients at Princess Grace Hospital, six in intensive care. A further 39 people from the hospital’s wider catchment area are also being treated, bringing the current total being treated at the hospital to 81.

A total of 155 residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home under the supervision of the Home Monitoring Centre.

Meanwhile in the UK 19,114 new cases and 1,014 new deaths were reported on Friday.
