Six new cases of coronavirus among Monaco residents were reported on Sunday, January 3. Eight full recoveries were also reported.

Of nine residents at Princess Grace Hospital, one was in intensive care.

A total of 102 residents with mild symptoms were recovering at home on Sunday night under the supervision of the Home Monitoring Centre.

The Government reported on Saturday, January 2, that a 92 year old resident who had tested positive for coronavirus on admission to hospital last week had sadly died. It is important to note that this very unfortunate death should neither be classified as a coronavirus death nor as not. It is a case of a coronavirus co-morbidity. The Prince’s Government expressed its sincere condolences.

In the meantime, in the UK 54,990 new cases and 454 new deaths were reported on Sunday, January 3, 2021. In France, the figures were 12,489 new cases and 116 new deaths.
