Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi has called on the French Government to bring in tougher measures to fight coronavirus in the Alpes-Maritimes.
He would like to see tougher travel restrictions not just between France and Italy but also between the Alpes-Maritimes and Monaco.
“Travel to Monaco should be reserved for those who have a work certificate,” he said, adding that there should be no more traveling to the Principality “for reasons of comfort, leisure or trade.”
He said the state needs to act to stop these “comings and goings,” since he does not have such authority himself.
