Eighteen new cases of coronavirus among residents were reported in Monaco on Thursday, November 5, taking the total since the start of the outbreak to 430.
Out of seven residents being treated at the Princess Grace Hospital, three are in intensive care.
There was good news on the number of recoveries – 25 – taking the total to 318.
The number of residents recovering at home with mild symptoms has fallen to 96, from 103 on Wednesday.
Why is the headline a scaremongering 2nd highest day for new cases vs highest ever day for recoveries?
Thank you for your comment, which is a valid one. However we don’t try to be scaremongering. We did say there was good news on recoveries, and, of course, in order for there to be recoveries there have to be new cases. Ian Brodie, Editor-in-chief
