HSH Prince Albert addressed the citizens and residents of Monaco at 20:00 on Thursday evening to announce restrictions in the fight against coronavirus.

The Sovereign said that even though the situation in the Principality is less urgent than in neighbouring regions, it remains serious.

There will be no lockdown in the Principality, but a curfew between 20:00 until 06:00, to come into effect overnight from Saturday to Sunday. Schools and businesses will remain open.

Restaurants will also stay open, but with special rules. The new measures will be in effect for one month.

More details will be available tomorrow following a special press conference, the Prince said.
