An estimated 5,000 to 7,000 residents of the Vallée de la Roya, displaced by Storm Alex and the devastation it caused, are in desperate need of warm clothes and food.
The Diocese of Monaco has appealed for donations.
“The Diocese of Monaco in conjunction with the CARF (Communauté d’Agglomeration de la Riviéra Française) invites those who can to donate: – non-perishable food that doesn’t need cooking, and warm clothes, that will be collected from today in all the churches of Monaco. Caritas and the Society of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul are participating with this appeal. Thank you in advance for your generosity,” the Church said today.
