The opening of Larvotto beach from Saturday July 4 to Sunday September 13 proved a great success.

“If the beach was able to open this summer, it is thanks to the will of HSH the Sovereign Prince and the efforts of the teams who continued their activity on this only public building site open during lockdown, in compliance with health measures,” said Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Infrastructure, Environment and Town Planning.

“The average attendance was 2,600 people per day, a total of around 160,000 users, which shows how right we were to anticipate the pleasure that Monegasques and residents would have at the end of the confinement period to find a quality public space, accessible and user-friendly.”

The summer will continue for a few weeks on the seawall solarium with the temporary installation of a kiosk and deckchairs, until the end of October. As for the Larvotto site, renovation work will continue so that the beach and its new facilities will open in the summer of 2021.
