The Maritime Prefect of the Mediterranean, Vice Admiral Laurent Isnard, invited the three parties to the Pelagos Agreement to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the signing of the Agreement at his residence in Cape Breton Fort, Toulon, on October 11.

The event, held at the end of a meeting of the French National Committee, took stock of activities and achievements, in particular in the field of scientific research as well as initiatives carried out in cooperation with the local administrations of the Sanctuary area.

It was also an opportunity to open up the future for strengthening the Agreement between France, Italy and Monaco.

Costanza Favilli, recently appointed as Executive Secretary of the Agreement, gave an update on the Programme of Work as well as on planned activities at the tripartite level.
