The decision by Kylian Mbappé to sign a new deal with Paris Saint German should net AS Monaco 35 million euros, according to the contract signed five years ago when the striker moved clubs.

After a 12-month loan, the initial fee was 145 million euros, plus an additional 35 million if Mbappé signed a contract extension.

There had been reports that PSG were trying to wriggle out of the terms of the agreement by waiting until June when Mbappé would become a free agent.

However, with the news that an extension has been signed it looks as if AS Monaco are legally entitled to the 35 million euros.

Mbappé receives 250 million euros for signing the PSG deal followed by 85 million euros per year.
