Students at the universities of Nice Côte d’Azur and Aix-Marseille can now pursue an inter-university diploma in Monegasque law, thanks to a new course launched this September. The program offers 120 hours of lessons over three years, covering topics like civil law, constitutional law, and the specificities of Monegasque law.
The agreement for this course was signed recently at the Palais de Justice in Monaco, and registration is now open. The diploma is designed for both young Monegasques and those interested in working in Monaco, providing a solid foundation in the country’s unique legal system.
Open to first-year students, the curriculum includes subjects such as political and judicial institutions, the law of obligations, and private law procedures specific to Monaco. Classes will be held in Nice, Aix, or Monaco, with the option of videoconferencing.
The first class will consist of 50 students, 25 each in Nice and Aix-en-Provence, with applications open until September 15. Fees are set at 250 euros per year for local students and 375 euros for those from other European universities. The program is expected to expand, potentially offering courses in other languages in the future.
