The Monaco International Lite Quest basketball tournament took place at Port Hercule on Saturday, August 17. Teams from Nice Vauban, Menton, Bordeaux, Clermont, Sanremo, Bologna, Louvain (Belgium), and Pando Mataro (Spain) competed for a spot in the next stage of the tournament and a 1,200 euro prize for the winners, with €800 awarded to the runners-up.
The 3×3 basketball format differs from traditional 5×5 basketball, as it is played on a half-court with a 10-minute game duration and a 12-second shot clock. The winning team is the first to score 21 points or the team with the highest score at the end of the game.
In overtime, the first team to score two points wins. Though the Principality’s team was defeated by Bologna, the event was a success, and another edition of the Monaco International Lite Quest is already planned for next year.
