HSH Prince Albert has unveiled a statue of his mother, Princess Grace, in Newport, Ireland, close to the birthplace of her grandfather, who emigrated to Philadelphia in the 1860s.

The Prince’s cousin, JB Kelly, and other members of the Kelly family were present at the unveiling on Thursday, March 16.

The Sovereign Prince had personally chosen the pose used by sculptor Mark Rode from a photograph of his mother.

Prince Albert was invited to spend the following day, Saint Patrick’s Day, at the Irish country house of Riverdance star Michael Flatley, a Monaco resident.
