The discovery by a postal worker of a disoriented and injured woman before 07:00 on Wednesday morning resulted in a major police raid on premises on Crovetto Frères Avenue in the Plati district.

A loud disturbance had been heard in the Soleil du Midi residence during the night, but it is unclear if the 34 year-old Beausoleil resident was in the apartment at the time with her friend and her friend’s former partner.

According to sources close to the investigation, the most likely scenario is that the victim remained outside the building after arriving with her friend on a scooter at about 02:30, where she staggered into a planter and injured her face. According to French daily Monaco Matin, police broke into the apartment and found the other woman asleep.

Taken to Princess Grace Hospital, she was found to be under the influence of a mixture of alcohol, cannabis and cocaine. She was admitted to the psychiatric department and on Wednesday evening had not yet been interviewed by Monaco police.
