Vaccines against both seasonal influenza and Covid-19 are now available in pharmacies across Monaco, with the Prince’s Government encouraging residents, particularly those most vulnerable, to protect themselves against serious illness and complications…

Flu vaccines have been available since October 15, while Covid-19 vaccines are now also being offered, with both covered for eligible insured residents.

Annual flu vaccination is recommended for everyone aged 65 and over, alongside people with certain chronic illnesses, pregnant women, those living with obesity and residents of care facilities. Vaccination is also strongly advised for people in close contact with vulnerable infants or immunocompromised individuals.

Those in priority groups receive a reimbursement voucher, allowing them to obtain their vaccination through a pharmacy. Under updated arrangements, anyone over 15 can receive a flu vaccination directly at a pharmacy. However, a medical prescription is required when collecting the vaccine for administration by a doctor or independent nurse.

The same vulnerable groups are prioritised for Covid-19 vaccination, which can also be administered in pharmacies. A prescription is required for Covid-19 vaccination by a nurse.

Both vaccines may be administered during the same appointment, provided different injection sites are used.
