Monaco Cathedral hosted a solemn ceremony on Saturday, October 17, during which new knights and ladies of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem were invested by Archbishop of Monaco Dominique-Marie David.

The religious ceremony brought the order’s commitment to faith and support for Christian communities in the Holy Land into focus, with the Archbishop presiding over the proceedings.

The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem is a Catholic institution dedicated to supporting Christians in the Holy Land through financial contributions, prayer and direct assistance to communities facing hardship.

Its work includes funding projects and providing support to people in the region, particularly those affected by difficult social and humanitarian circumstances. Members also undertake pilgrimages to the Holy Land as part of their commitment to the order’s mission.

The order has an established presence in Monaco, where its members form part of an international network dedicated to sustaining Christian life and supporting communities in Jerusalem and the wider region.

The ceremony in the Principality marked an important moment for the newly invested members as they formally joined an organisation whose work combines religious commitment with practical humanitarian support.
