A five-kilometre charity walk through Monaco will bring together fashion, art and movement this Saturday to support families affected by Alzheimer’s disease…
As reported by Monaco-Matin, Danish fashion designer Isabell Kristensen created Forget Me Not following the death of her father from Alzheimer’s less than a year ago. The event takes place ahead of World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21, with all proceeds going to the Monegasque Association for Alzheimer’s Research (AMPA).
Participants will gather outside Kristensen’s Monaco-Ville boutique at 09:30 on September 12. The route will pass some of the Principality’s best-known landmarks, with a stop at the Prince’s Palace featuring models in Kristensen designs alongside ballet dancers.
At the Princess Grace Japanese Garden, walkers will take part in a treasure hunt leading to a natural sapphire and diamond necklace hidden within the grounds.
The morning will finish with refreshments and the presentation of the inaugural Forget Me Not Award, with the recipient remaining a surprise until Saturday.
Registration costs €35. Kristensen hopes the initiative will become an annual Monaco event, before developing internationally in future editions.
