A new exhibition at Espace 22 is paying tribute to Edmond Pastor, the prominent Monegasque entrepreneur who passed away in early July, offering a more personal portrait of a man whose interests extended far beyond the property industry for which his family is renowned….
Entitled Legacy, the exhibition was conceived by his daughter Valérie Pastor and inaugurated in the presence of family, friends and former colleagues. It traces the different facets of Pastor’s life, from architecture and automobiles to his fascination with Japan, while highlighting the curiosity and visionary outlook that characterised his career.
Those who worked alongside Pastor remembered a commanding personality who nevertheless treated colleagues as equals. He was described as a gentleman who inspired respect, but also as an empathetic and generous man deeply appreciated by those around him.
His daughter said she hoped to continue the values he embodied, including respect for others and concern for those without a voice, particularly animals and children in hospital. She also recalled his emphasis on work well done and his determination never to carry debts.
The exhibition also explores Pastor beyond his professional achievements, presenting him as a family man, friend and passionate collector of interests.
Legacy can be visited at Espace 22 on Boulevard d’Italie until September 13, with a catalogue documenting the exhibition also due to be published.
