Monaco is preparing for a significant logistical operation from the end of August, as installation work begins for the Monaco Yacht Show, the world’s leading yachting trade show, which returns to the Principality from September 23 to 26, 2026, and carries major economic significance for the wider region.
Setup work begins on Saturday, August 29, centred primarily around Port Hercule, affecting Quai des États-Unis, Avenue J.F. Kennedy, Route de la Piscine, and various quays throughout the port, with Quai Antoine 1er joining the affected zone from Monday, September 7.
To allow structures to be installed safely, parking will be prohibited in various locations, alongside adjustments to both vehicle and pedestrian circulation, with some zones facing full closures for short periods. Authorities say specific measures will be put in place to ease disruption during peak hours, including temporary allowances for dropping off schoolchildren near the affected area, along with provisional arrangements to keep deliveries running throughout the works.
Route de la Piscine will also close entirely from September 14 through September 30 inclusive, a measure officials say is necessary to ensure public safety in an area that will effectively become an active construction and logistics zone during that period. The road will nonetheless remain open in the Portier to Quai Antoine 1er direction during morning peak hours throughout that window, with the exception of the day before the show opens and the three days immediately following its close.
A dedicated parking area for two-wheeled vehicles will also be introduced on Avenue de la Quarantaine from September 7, coinciding with the start of works on Quai Antoine 1er.
Public spaces around the port will begin reopening progressively from September 27, with a full return to normal conditions expected by October 8, 2026.
The full set of measures has been developed in close coordination between state services and the Show’s organisers, reflecting an ongoing effort to minimise disruption for residents, local businesses and everyday users of the port district, while ensuring the event itself can be organised under the best possible conditions, particularly with regard to safety.
