La Poste Monaco has announced a series of temporary service adjustments ahead of the Vuelta a España’s departure from the Principality on Saturday, August 22, 2026, as Monaco prepares to host the opening stage of Spain’s Grand Tour for the first time.
With road closures and crowds expected across the city on race day, the postal service has confirmed that its Fontvieille and Moulins branches will be exceptionally closed for the day. Customers with parcels or mail needing to be handled through either of these locations are advised to plan accordingly in the days beforehand.
Monaco’s remaining post office branches will stay open as usual on Saturday, though with some adjustments to their standard operations. The cut-off time for drop-offs will be brought forward to 11am, earlier than the typical daily deadline, giving customers a narrower window to submit outgoing mail and parcels that day. Deliveries of both letters and packages will continue to be carried out as scheduled, but only up until 11:45am, after which distribution will pause for the remainder of the day due to the disruption expected from the race.
The temporary changes are limited strictly to Saturday, August 22. From Monday, August 24, all La Poste Monaco branches, including Fontvieille and Moulins, will resume their normal opening hours and full range of services.
Residents and businesses relying on postal services around the Vuelta weekend are encouraged to take note of the adjusted schedule and, where possible, complete any time-sensitive postal needs ahead of Saturday to avoid disruption.
