Jet skiing is among the activities available this summer through Monaco’s Pass’Sport Culture programme, with introductory sessions run by instructors from the Roca Jet Club Monaco, who combine their passion for the sport with a strong focus on participant safety.
Open to young people aged 11 to 25 who either attend school or live in the Principality, the Pass’Sport Culture scheme is organised by the Directorate of National Education, Youth and Sports (DENJS), in partnership with the Directorate of Cultural Affairs and various local associations. The programme gives participants access throughout July and August to a wide range of sporting, cultural, educational and recreational activities, alongside discounted entry to Monaco’s local museums.
Beyond jet skiing, the summer programme typically spans a broad mix of disciplines, including music, dance, artistic instruction, archaeology, circus arts, photography and theatre, giving young residents a genuinely varied way to spend their school holidays. The scheme operates on a flat-rate membership model, with past summers priced at around €60 to €80 for the full July-August period, giving cardholders access to the entire activity programme once registered.
To take part, young people need to hold a valid Pass’Sport Culture membership card for the current year, obtainable through the Centre d’Information de l’Éducation Nationale (CIEN), either online via the dedicated portal or in person at CIEN’s offices. Existing cardholders are typically able to begin booking activities slightly ahead of new registrants each summer, with the full programme published online around two weeks before each school holiday period begins.
Now firmly established as part of Monaco’s youth calendar, the scheme continues to grow each year, reflecting the government’s broader push to make sport and culture more accessible to the Principality’s younger residents during the school break, while offering a structured, supervised environment for trying out new activities, jet skiing among them.
