Her Excellency Noor Al Khulaif, Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board (EDB Bahrain), met with several key figures from Monaco’s business community during a programme organised by Invest Monaco. Representatives from the Société des Bains de Mer, the Yacht Club de Monaco and the University of Monaco were among those involved in discussions exploring areas of mutual interest and future collaboration.
Despite being separated by more than 4,000 kilometres, officials highlighted shared priorities including environmental protection, maritime affairs and hospitality, identifying these sectors as natural foundations for closer cooperation.
The visit also showcased the experience of Monegasque businesses already operating in the Gulf region. Monaco Concept, for example, is deploying reflective building technologies designed to reduce energy consumption and improve thermal comfort in countries facing increasingly extreme temperatures. The company believes such solutions are becoming ever more relevant across the region as governments seek to improve the efficiency of schools, hospitals and other public buildings.
The latest meetings build on an initial Monaco trade mission to Bahrain two years ago and discussions resumed earlier this year at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Both countries now hope to transform those exchanges into long-term partnerships and concrete business opportunities.
