Now celebrating its 77th anniversary, the festival is one of Europe’s most prestigious classical music events. Founded in 1950 by André Böröcz after he was captivated by the unique atmosphere of Menton’s Parvis Saint-Michel, it has grown into an internationally renowned celebration of music set against the spectacular backdrop of the Mediterranean.
Over the decades, the festival has welcomed many of the world’s greatest musicians, including Sviatoslav Richter, Mstislav Rostropovich, Isaac Stern and Maria João Pires. This year’s programme continues that tradition, featuring performances by Gautier Capuçon, Alexandre Kantorow, Lionel Bringuier, Nicolas Altstaedt and Leonidas Kavakos, alongside orchestral, chamber and jazz concerts.
