The inauguration and blessing of La Maison de Delphine took place on July 16 in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II in the picturesque village of Annot, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, marking an important milestone in support for adults with disabilities linked to Monaco…

The new residential home, created by the Monaco Disease Power association, provides a family-style environment where residents can live independently whilst benefiting from tailored educational and social support.

Designed to accommodate a maximum of 10 residents, the facility features private bedrooms, shared living spaces and a strong emphasis on community life. Staff say the small-scale model allows greater flexibility, encouraging residents to take part in everyday activities, workshops and outings whilst remaining fully integrated into local life.

The project was made possible with the long-standing support of the Cuomo Foundation, a charitable foundation that has partnered with the association since 2013, helping finance the construction of the new residence.

Prince Albert II also visited nearby Amélie’s House, where he met residents enjoying respite stays and the teams who support them throughout the year. During the visit, he highlighted the importance of partnerships beyond Monaco’s borders, noting that the Principality’s limited space makes facilities such as Delphine’s House an invaluable complement to services available at home.

Currently home to five residents, the residence is expected to welcome a sixth in the coming months, further expanding specialist care for Monegasque families.
