Having received updates on the investigation throughout the night, the Princely couple visited Monaco’s Public Security headquarters on Tuesday afternoon to express their support for the officers and personnel who have remained mobilised since the explosion. Accompanied by Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, Secretary of State for Justice Samuel Vuelta Simon and Government Minister for the Interior Lionel Beffre, they attended a briefing with the Director of Public Security and senior commanders to receive the latest operational update.
The Princely couple then travelled to the Condamine Fire and Rescue Centre, where they were welcomed by Colonel Tony Varo and Colonel Maxime Yvrard before meeting firefighters and specialist response teams involved in the emergency operation.
During the visits, HSH Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene thanked those on the front line for their professionalism, dedication and tireless efforts in responding to the incident and supporting the investigation.
The meetings also provided an opportunity for the Prince and Princess to reiterate their full confidence in the authorities responsible for the inquiry as they continue working to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible. The visits underscored the Principality’s support for the police, firefighters and emergency personnel who have been working around the clock since the explosion.
