Monaco’s business community took centre stage at the 25th edition of the Entreprenariales trade fair in Nice, where the Federation of Monegasque Enterprises (FEDEM) participated for the first time to promote closer economic cooperation across the region…

Held at the Allianz Riviera, the annual event brought together around 140 exhibitors and more than 5,000 participants, including business leaders, public officials and institutional representatives from across the Alpes-Maritimes. FEDEM used the occasion to highlight the importance of cross-border collaboration and to support major infrastructure projects designed to strengthen connections between Monaco and neighbouring French communities.

A key focus of the federation’s presence was the proposed metro link between Nice and Ventimiglia, a project supporters believe could significantly improve mobility for the tens of thousands of people who travel to Monaco each day. Advocates argue that the long-term benefits would extend well beyond transport, supporting economic development, employment and quality of life across the wider region.

The event also underscored the strong ties between Monaco and the Alpes-Maritimes. Representatives of UPE06, the organisation behind the fair, highlighted the Principality’s role as an important economic engine for the region, noting the daily movement of workers and businesses across the border.

Through workshops, round-table discussions and networking opportunities, the exhibition provided a platform for strengthening partnerships and exploring shared solutions to regional challenges.
