The 57th edition of the International Bouquet Competition transformed the Yacht Club de Monaco into a celebration of floral artistry this weekend, with this year’s event centred around the theme “Celeste”.
Organised by the Garden Club de Monaco under the High Patronage of Albert II and the presidency of Princess Caroline of Hanover, the long-running competition brought together amateur florists, professional designers and emerging young talents from around the world.
Prince Albert II and Princess Caroline toured the exhibition alongside several Monegasque figures, including Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy and Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, meeting participants and viewing the elaborate floral installations on display.
This year’s “Celeste” theme inspired competitors to draw on imagery linked to the sky, light and atmospheric phenomena. Entries were divided across seven categories, featuring interpretations ranging from thunderstorms to the Northern Lights, with exhibitors using dramatic colours, sculptural arrangements and intricate detailing to impress the jury and visitors alike.
The competition concluded with a prize ceremony led by Princess Caroline, during which several distinctions were awarded, including gold, silver and bronze insignia, special jury prizes, the Grand Prix Général and the prestigious Princess Grace of Monaco Prize.
The exhibition remained open to the public through Sunday evening, attracting visitors eager to discover one of Monaco’s most established cultural and horticultural traditions.
