The Roca Team delivered one of their most resilient performances of the season, overturning a double-digit deficit to defeat Olimpia Milano 90–85 at a packed Salle Gaston Médecin on Tuesday, March 24.

It was a night that summed up the Roca Team’s character. Twice trailing by more than ten points—and still down by 12 heading into the final quarter—Monaco refused to let the game slip away, instead producing a relentless late surge to secure a crucial EuroLeague victory.

The evening began on difficult terms for the home side. Milan came out sharp, dominating early exchanges with efficient shooting and control on the boards. Monaco struggled to find rhythm, missing opportunities and allowing the visitors to build a sizeable lead in the opening quarter.

The introduction of Elie Okobo proved to be a turning point. Bringing energy and creativity off the bench, he helped Monaco gradually claw their way back into the contest. By the second quarter, the momentum had shifted, with the Roca Team increasing defensive intensity and moving the ball more fluidly in attack.

Despite a strong Monaco response, Milan managed to edge ahead again before halftime, taking a narrow lead into the break and reasserting control after the restart. The Italian side once again stretched their advantage, capitalising on Monaco’s inconsistencies to build a ten-point cushion heading into the final period.

But what followed was a remarkable turnaround.

Monaco raised their defensive level dramatically, limiting Milan’s scoring while finding new confidence in attack. Possession by possession, the gap began to close. Alpha Diallo and Jaron Blossomgame stepped up at key moments, while Okobo continued to orchestrate the game with authority.

With the crowd fully behind them, Monaco completed the comeback in the closing minutes. A series of decisive plays saw them take the lead for the first time late in the fourth quarter, before holding firm under pressure to close out the win.

Five Monaco players finished in double figures, underlining the collective effort behind the victory. Okobo was the standout performer, recording an impressive double-double with 16 points and 13 assists, guiding his team through the most critical moments.

The result marks a third consecutive EuroLeague win for Monaco and strengthens their position in the race for the playoffs—while sending a clear message about the team’s resilience and depth at a decisive stage of the season.
