The Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights gathered today at the Yacht Club for its annual plenary meeting, bringing together a wide range of institutional, state and community partners to take stock of the year gone by and outline priorities for the months ahead.
The session provided an opportunity to review the initiatives rolled out across the Principality in 2025, from professional training programmes and statistical research to awareness campaigns, educational projects and prevention measures targeting domestic and gender-based violence. Attention was also given to initiatives designed to foster dialogue and empowerment, including internships, public speaking competitions and collaborative work with associations on the ground.
Looking ahead to 2026, the Committee reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening protection, prevention and education, with several new projects already in development. The discussions highlighted a continued focus on coordination between public institutions and civil society, as well as the importance of data-driven policy in advancing gender equality.
Speaking during the meeting, Isabelle Berro-Amadei, President of the Committee, and Céline Cottalorda, Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights, underlined the need to maintain momentum and ensure that concrete action remains at the heart of the Committee’s work. Both later shared their perspectives with Monaco Info.
The next major milestone is already on the calendar, with International Women’s Rights Day set to be marked on March 8 at the Espace Léo Ferré, where the Committee will once again place women’s rights at the centre of public attention.
