The Roca Team continued their remarkable run of form on the European stage, securing a 95–87 victory over Paris Basketball at the adidas Arena on the evening of Thursday, January 15. The result marked a tenth consecutive win across all competitions for the Roca Team and confirmed their dominance over the Parisian side this season.

Coming into the EuroLeague clash just two days after a domestic win against Gravelines-Dunkerque, Monaco showed little sign of fatigue. Head coach Vassilis Spanoulis stuck with a trusted starting five, and his side responded with maturity and control in a hostile environment against a Paris team fighting to keep their play-in hopes alive.

Paris began with intensity, but Monaco quickly found their rhythm through Mike James, who set the tone early. The American guard scored 17 points in the opening quarter alone, mixing long-range shooting with aggressive drives to the basket to silence the home crowd and give Monaco a narrow advantage after ten minutes.

The second quarter remained high-paced and physical. While Paris looked to stay close through their perimeter shooting, Monaco made their mark defensively. Daniel Theis anchored the paint with a series of timely blocks, several of which sparked fast breaks the other way. With Elie Okobo orchestrating the offense and Nikola Mirotić stretching the floor, Monaco gradually pulled clear and went into halftime holding a nine-point lead.

After the break, Paris raised their intensity and briefly cut into the deficit, feeding off the energy of the arena. Monaco, however, responded calmly. A key three-pointer from Jaron Blossomgame halted the momentum, before a strong end to the third quarter — highlighted by defensive stops, a chasedown block from Kevarrius Hayes and accurate shooting from Matthew Strazel — restored a comfortable cushion.

The final quarter tested Monaco’s depth and composure when Mirotić was forced to the bench with five fouls. Rather than falter, the Roca Team responded collectively. Alpha Diallo struck from long range, Okobo found space in the mid-range, and Blossomgame capped a lightning-fast transition with a powerful dunk. Late alley-oops between James and Theis kept Paris at arm’s length, before a decisive defensive stop in the closing seconds sealed the outcome.

Despite several late pushes from the hosts, Monaco never lost control. The win underlined both their offensive firepower and their growing defensive resilience, as well as their ability to manage pressure moments away from home. With ten straight victories now in the books, the Roca Team head into the next phase of their EuroLeague campaign full of confidence and firmly established among the competition’s most in-form sides.
