Lucas Dubois has officially taken the helm of Monaco’s Junior Chamber of Economic Development (JCE) with a clear ambition: to strengthen the role of young professionals in shaping the Principality’s economic future…

Having joined the organisation in 2022, Dubois says he was immediately inspired by the association’s impact and its ability to promote entrepreneurship and economic attractiveness in Monaco. His presidency marks the final year of a three-year strategic plan centred on entrepreneurship, now refined around three core pillars: innovation, entrepreneurship and territorial attractiveness.

A key objective for 2026 is to reinforce the JCE’s influence as a genuine ideas laboratory representing the 18–40 age group. Dubois wants members to be more visible contributors to public debate, economic development and innovation, by encouraging open expression, collective thinking and the emergence of practical proposals that can benefit the Principality.

Alongside established initiatives such as the business creation competition and the Inspire event, a new flagship project will launch this year. Titled Monaco Junior Impact, the programme will bring students and young professionals together to design and deliver a social, environmental or charitable project over the course of the year, with the winning initiative financed and implemented by the JCE.

The long-running Grain d’Entrepreneur programme will meanwhile become an independent association, reflecting its maturity and success while maintaining close links with the JCE.

Dubois also issued a call to young professionals who may be hesitant to join. He described the JCE as a powerful network for personal growth, collaboration and opportunity — a place to meet motivated peers, develop ideas and contribute meaningfully to Monaco’s future.
