Europa-Park has taken a significant step towards unveiling its next major attraction, offering visitors an early glimpse of a future themed area inspired by the Principality of Monaco. The German amusement park, based in Rust, has opened a dedicated preview space showcasing the first concepts of what will become its 18th themed district, scheduled to welcome the public in 2026.

The project centres on a complete reinvention of the Silver Star Hall, one of the park’s landmark structures. While the high-octane world of Formula 1 lies at the heart of the concept, the ambition goes well beyond motorsport. Designers are aiming to recreate the distinctive atmosphere of Monaco, blending racing heritage with Mediterranean elegance. Planned scenery includes stylised streets reminiscent of Monte-Carlo, references to the Casino’s iconic architecture and marina-inspired settings evoking the Riviera lifestyle.

One of the standout features will be the presentation of vehicles from Prince Albert II’s personal collection, adding an authentic dimension to the experience and reinforcing the close ties between the Principality and the Mack family, founders of Europa-Park. That relationship was highlighted during the park’s 50th anniversary celebrations last summer, when the Sovereign addressed the Mack family in a video message. Members of the Princely family were also present in Rust, with Louis and Marie Ducruet attending the gala and testing the park’s signature Silver Star attraction.

Images released by Europa-Park confirm a strong Formula 1 influence, inspired by the legendary Monaco Grand Prix, while also showcasing the broader cultural and architectural identity of the Principality. The aim is to offer visitors an immersive journey combining speed, glamour and the laid-back spirit of the Mediterranean.

With construction ongoing, the preview centre allows the public to follow the project’s development ahead of its official opening. Once completed, the Monaco-themed area is expected to become a major draw for the park, which already attracts more than six million visitors each year, and to mark one of Europa-Park’s most ambitious thematic expansions to date.
