Italian cuisine’s recent recognition by UNESCO as part of the world’s intangible cultural heritage will be celebrated in Monaco with a public event bringing together culture, storytelling and gastronomy. On Monday, January 5 at 18:30, the ACLI of the Principality of Monaco will host an evening entitled “Mixing Carefully, the Taste of Life” at the Agora auditorium, located within the Diocesan House on rue Bellevue. Admission will be free, subject to availability.

Conceived as a talk-show-style encounter, the event will explore how food shapes personal journeys and professional lives. The discussion will be guided by Maurizio Di Maggio, the long-standing voice of Radio Monte-Carlo, alongside journalist Giulia Frigo from MontecarloStyle. Together, they will lead a conversation with four guests whose careers span journalism, film, television and haute cuisine.

Among them is Marco Fantasia, a Genoa-born sports journalist and commentator for Italy’s public broadcaster RAI, widely known for his coverage of international volleyball competitions. Actress and director Karin Proia, whose career stretches across theatre, television and cinema, will also take part, as will Roman actor Raffaele Buranelli, a familiar face in popular Italian TV series and films. Completing the panel is chef Emanuele Federici, head of the renowned Roman restaurant La Bocca di Roma and a regular ambassador of Italian cuisine in the Principality.

The evening will open with official remarks from Niccolò Caissotti di Chiusano, honorary president of the Monegasque ACLI, joined by Alessandra Luti, director of Fashion Wow magazine, and Luciano Garzelli, delegate of the Italian Academy of Cuisine. Artistic flair will be added through three original dance performances by the Emotions company, led by dancer Ginevra De Masi, ahead of the troupe’s upcoming television tour in Italy.

Open to the public, the event will conclude on a convivial note with a tasting of Trentino wines and Ligurian specialities. The celebration is held under the patronage of ACLI Terra and the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Monaco, reflecting the Principality’s close cultural ties with Italy and its living culinary heritage.
